It is logical that the radiators nearest the boiler will heat up first, which could ultimately cause the heaters in different rooms to have different temperatures. Here’s what we suggest:
- Invest in a thermometer
A good tip is to attach a radiator thermometer to each heater. If you can’t find one from your local DIY shop, then talk to Boiler Installation Margate, and they will provide one for you. Once you have attached it, turn the valve completely off, and then slowly open the valve of each radiator until they are all the same temperature, or at least, nearly the same.
- Turn the valve half way
If you don’t have a radiator thermometer, do not worry. If you partly turn the lock shield of the valve closed, (on the radiators nearest the boiler) this will allow more water to flow to the (further away) radiators. The water will also get there faster. Doing this might take a little bit of trial and error, especially if you haven’t tried it before, but we are sure that you will find a balance eventually, sooner rather than later. Just keep adjusting the valves until you reach a happy medium.
